General Government
In The Quackers Kingdom, the government operates under a constitutional monarchy that blends elements of parliamentary and Imperial systems, with a focus on democratic governance and national unity. The Monarch, as the symbolic head of state, holds a ceremonial role that represents the Kingdom’s continuity and traditions. While the Monarch's power is symbolic and non-executive, the true governing authority lies in the hands of the Prime Minister and the Reichstag, the nation’s supreme governing body.
The Reichstag functions as a unicameral legislature, combining the roles of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. It is made up of elected members who serve a fixed term of 3 years. The Reichstag is responsible for drafting, debating, and passing laws, scrutinizing the government, and ensuring that laws and policies align with the Constitution. Additionally, the Reichstag holds the Prime Minister accountable, with the power to remove them through a vote of no-confidence.
Within this framework, various governmental departments are established to ensure the effective functioning of the state, each managed by a Member who oversees the implementation of specific policies. These departments operate under the direction of the Prime Minister but are also held accountable by the Reichstag, maintaining a balance of power across the government.
The departments play an essential role in managing the different facets of governance, from national security to public welfare, and contribute to the Kingdom’s stability and prosperity. Each department is guided by a specific Member, who is responsible for proposing policies and ensuring that their respective areas of governance run smoothly.
